Compare eSIM plans for your trip
CheckeSIMRates compares travel eSIM prices by destination, data allowance and validity. Start with plans that cover your itinerary, then compare total cost. Price per GB helps compare fixed-data plans; unlimited plans need a separate check of full-speed and hotspot limits.
- One country, a set data budget
- Compare eSIM plans by destination and choose enough GB and days for the trip. Unsure about usage? Estimate your travel data first.
- Several countries on one trip
- Check regional eSIM coverage against every stop. Compare the total cost with separate country plans.
- Heavy use or a laptop hotspot
- Review unlimited eSIM limits and the plan's hotspot allowance and restrictions. Unlimited does not always mean unlimited full-speed data.
- Your first travel eSIM
- Check phone compatibility and carrier locks, then read when to activate your eSIM before starting the plan.

Where data is cheapest
The typical price per GB for a fixed-data plan in each destination. We use the middle (median) price, not the lowest, so one unusually cheap plan cannot make a country look cheap.
Cheapest eSIM in popular destinations
The cheapest plan with at least 3 GB for a week, the cheapest with 10 GB or more, and the cheapest unlimited plan per day, in US dollars, from the price check on 3 November 2026. Open a destination to compare every plan for your exact trip.
Crossing borders?
A regional eSIM covers a specified group of destinations on one plan. Check that every country on your itinerary is included, then compare its total price with separate country plans. Coverage and prices vary by provider.

Three steps, no account
We compare the plans in our database. Choose a suitable offer, then buy directly from the provider.
Say where and how long
Pick a destination and a trip length. Plans that run out before you fly home are hidden.
See what each one really costs
Compare listed providers by total price, with cost per gigabyte for fixed-data plans and per day for unlimited plans.
Buy from the provider
We link straight to their checkout at their own price. No markup, no account here, nothing to install.
How we rank
Read our full comparison methodology for ranking rules, currency conversion, data limitations, and how affiliate links work.
Capped and unlimited stay apart
A 5 GB plan has a price per gigabyte; an unlimited one does not. Ranking them together would give misleading results.
Cheapest total wins by default
Compare the total cost of plans that meet your trip requirements. A lower daily rate can still mean a higher upfront price.
Plans that are too short are hidden
A 7-day plan is no use on a 10-day trip, so anything expiring before you fly home never reaches the list.
We show when “unlimited” slows down
Some “unlimited” plans run at full speed only to a set allowance. Where a provider publishes that limit, it is shown on the plan — and who publishes one is counted openly.
Prices are converted only to compare them
Each provider charges in its own currency. We convert every price so you can compare them; your card is charged at the provider’s price.
Check price freshness before buying
Prices are saved snapshots from provider storefronts. Check the displayed timestamps and confirm the current offer with the provider before paying.
Popular provider comparisons
Two providers at a time, priced in every destination both sell. “Cheaper” compares the lowest price each sells there; each page also compares 10 GB plans and unlimited data.
Travel eSIM questions
Understand plan types, price checks and features before choosing a travel eSIM.
What is a travel eSIM?
A travel eSIM is a digital SIM profile that provides mobile service for supported destinations. Before buying, check that your phone supports eSIM, is carrier-unlocked and is compatible with the selected plan.
How do I compare travel eSIM prices fairly?
Choose your destination, trip length and required data first. Compare the total price of matching plans, then use price per GB for capped plans or price per day for unlimited plans to assess value. Check coverage, hotspot restrictions and activation terms before buying.
Are the eSIM prices live?
Prices are saved snapshots, not live checkout quotes. Use the displayed price-check timestamps to assess freshness, and confirm the price and terms on the provider’s website before paying. Currency conversions are for comparison; the provider’s checkout determines the amount charged.
Is an unlimited travel eSIM better than a fixed-data plan?
An unlimited travel eSIM can suit heavy data use, but the better choice depends on the destination, trip length and total price. Check published full-speed allowances, reduced speeds and hotspot limits. A fixed-data plan may cost less when its allowance covers your needs.
Does a travel eSIM include calls and SMS?
Calls and SMS depend on the specific travel eSIM plan. Do not assume that a data plan includes a phone number, voice minutes or text messages. Check the plan details for those features before purchasing.
Can I share travel eSIM data with my laptop?
Hotspot access depends on the eSIM plan and device. Check whether tethering is permitted and whether the provider sets a separate hotspot allowance or speed limit, especially on unlimited plans.
